13th Annual Award Ceremony
The ceremony will be in the Coolidge Auditorium in the Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress on Tuesday, September 24, at 5:30pm ET. A reception in the Great Hall will follow the ceremony. A formal invitation and request for RSVPs will be sent in September.
Since 2012, the Golden Goose Award recognizes and highlights obscure, federally-funded research that has led to major breakthroughs in biomedical research, medical treatments, and computing and communications technologies.

Application Readers & Committees
Each year program managers conduct targeted outreach to alumni from all classes and sectors resulting in approximately 80 alumni assisting in reviewing and selecting each incoming class of fellows. Alumni’s role in the process and foundational to its success.

Climate Policy Colloquium
The AMS Policy Program is happy to announce the 2024 AMS Climate Policy Colloquium (CPC), which is a new leadership development program for scientists and professionals in climate and climate-related fields. The 2024 CPC will occur from December 15-19, 2024 in Washington, DC.
A national competition for support of graduate students and postdocs in participating in the 2024 CPC is also open. Applications for support are due October 1, 2024.
